Launch your journalism career with the International Broadcasting Organization.
Are you a university student with a passion for storytelling? Do you want your voice to be heard not just on campus, but around the world?
IBO Campus is our dedicated global student journalism initiative. We are looking for the next generation of reporters, opinion writers, and video creators to join our newsroom as Campus Correspondents.
Why Write for IBO News?
You don’t need years of experience to break a big story—you just need the right platform.
- Global Exposure: Your articles will be published on
ibonews.com, reaching thousands of readers across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. - Build Your Portfolio: Stop sending empty CVs. Send a link to your Author Profile on a major international news site.
- Editorial Mentorship: You won’t be writing into the void. Our professional editors in New York and Dhaka will review your drafts, giving you real feedback to improve your writing skills.
- Certificate of Journalism: Publish 5 approved articles, and you will receive an official “IBO News Digital Journalism Certificate” to add to your LinkedIn profile.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from undergraduate and postgraduate students in any major (Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, Literature, or Sciences).
We are looking for students who are:
- Curious: You ask “why” when others just accept “what.”
- Accurate: You care about facts, sources, and the truth.
- Multilingual: We especially want students who can write in English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, or Portuguese.
- Digital-First: You understand how to write catchy headlines and engaging intros.
What You Can Cover
As an IBO Campus Correspondent, you have the freedom to pitch stories on:
- Campus News: Protests, student elections, or innovative research happening at your university.
- Gen Z Perspectives: Opinion pieces on climate change, digital culture, and the future of work.
- Local Reporting: What is happening in your city that the mainstream media is missing?
- Tech & Science: Explain complex new discoveries to a general audience.
Program Requirements
- Commitment: This is a flexible, remote role. You can write as often as you like, but we recommend 1 article per month to stay active.
- Originality: All submissions must be 100% original and not published elsewhere.
- Zero AI: We want your voice. Articles written entirely by AI (ChatGPT) will be rejected.
